new karmacy video - stop

i've actually taken karmacy's new album wooden bling out of rotation since it came out however long ago. it's not that i'm not feeling it, it's just one of those things that you bump for like a month straight and then you move on.

so it was a breath of fresh air when i saw that they've got a new video. the video is great...and so very timely due to next tuesday's election. not only is the video great, but it's reminded me how much i loved the album. here's to bumping it for another month straight...

Now witness the power of this fully armed and operational PowerPoint presentation!

seriously...the title is hilarious (note...i lifted that straight from the gizmodo post). someone created a limited edition "Emperor's desk". as in THAT emperor. awesome! will run $5000, but then you'll be one of a lucky five to own it. check it out.

don't forget me

george w bush is a lame duck president right now. we know that. how are we going to remember him after his term is over though? the war? katrina? all the bush-isms? i'm not sure.at least there are some folks out there that want to make sure that his legacy lives on. i applaud that. everyone of stature wants to be remembered right? shit...i DO.

a group in san francisco is trying to get a sewage treatment plant named after george w. only in SF (as yat so succintly put...thanks for the tip by the way)

the word of the day is...

job. J-O-B…job

yup…that’s right. i’m going to be working again soon. i’ll be joining punchcut. they are a user experience design company, right now primarily based on the wireless industry. lay men’s terms…they design cool ass shit for the next generation of phone interfaces (think menus, programs, content, etc). here's a good article which talks a bit about what they do (they even mention punchcut).

i’m really stoked to be joining them, and I’m hoping that it will be a really good fit for me. it’s based right here in san Francisco, literally right off of union square. no more long ass drive to work…and with gas prices where they’re at, that’s a damn good thing. anyway, i’m glad to be back a part of the working community. it was a nice break, but i’m ready to rock and roll again.

my cousin and her friend put together this video for a contest in canada. personally, i think it's fantastic. but you can decide for yourself. if you like it, head over to this link and place your vote.

karmacy is...BLAZIN

so I found a good reason to post.

I’ve written about karmacy a couple times in the past. but that was in the P-A-S-T. the guys have been pretty quiet for a minute. but not anymore…the trio has recorded new material and I gotta say that it’s hot. I was at their debut show up here in the bay where they performed the shit for the 1st time. even got the new album…wooden bling. it’s a great showing too. solid production…some definite bangers, and the lyrics are top notch. I think they’ve only got one track streaming over on their facebook page, and I don’t want to leak stuff so you’re just gonna have to buy the album.

or…

check them out in LA this friday night. they’re doing a big show with some other really great performers. best thing…it’s for a good cause. sepia mutiny has already covered it. blazin hope II over at the knitting factory in Hollywood. get your tickets, represent, listen to good music, and have a good time…

"might" be back

so...i'm contemplating ending my 10 month hiatus from here. not sure though...the inclination to write hasn't exactly been here, but then again, i enjoyed it while i was doing it. seeing as a couple of you actually saw my stealth post a few days ago, i might take the opportunity to rejoin the fold. who knows if the subject matter will be more of the same (music, random web findings, drunken recaps) or new material altogether. we'll see right?

lot going on

you guys haven't heard much from me lately, so let me give you the two major updates, and maybe i'll fill in the blanks later.

1) i was laid off from my job. yup....terence is officially unemployed. budget cuts...headcount reduction...yada yada yada. my last day was this past friday. so...what's terence going to do now? well, hopefully find another job. but before that....

2) i'm writing this from london. on my way to kenya. where i will be for THREE great weeks. my folks are already there, in mombasa. and brian leaves this coming wednesday. hang out on the coast, 7 day safari, nairobi. it will be good times.

so yeah, it didn't take long for me to hit the road again. granted...this trip has been in the 'planning' stages for some time now. but it wasn't a reality until i was sitting on the plane. i didn't get my newly renewed passport until this past thursday. i didn't actually get my plane tickets until this past friday. and yes...i left on sunday.

alright people...out for now. this british pound thing sucks, and this internet is expensive. hopefully i'll write more later about the travels...

or...just sleep right through it. apparently a 4.2 quake hit in oakland this AM, which i "should" have felt in SF. but i didn't...

move along, move along

i need one of these

found this picture on sfist, but this has to be the most hilarious comment ever

I used to leave my car unlocked because if I locked it idiots would break the windows and/or slash the convertible top. There was nothing of value in it whatsoever, or so I thought. Someone stole the shift knob! Some other guy stole the owner's manual. Unbelievably the latter crackhead got busted in Pacifica in possession of the stolen manual and the cops returned it to me based on the VIN. There is literally nothing that a crackhead won't steal.

Hey crackhead, how did it feel to do 30 days in County Jail for stealing something completely worthless?
